I have about 6 Bibles in my possession; King James, the New International and the Revised Standard...and I love them all in special ways! But the workhorse of the group is the smallish, tan leather covered Bible which has notes scribbled over it, my Revised Standard. Let me share with you those 'notes'.

Faith means, you BELIEVE that God loves you.

The purpose of the Bible is to reveal the righteousness of God.

God loves everyone of us as if He only had one of us to love.

The Gospel is addressed not to reason but to faith.

The Bible contains the mind of God,
reveals the state of man,
shows the way of salvation,
warns of the doom of sinners,
and displays the joy of believers.

Its doctrines are Holy; its precepts immutable.
Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the Glory of God its end.

This morning God awakened me from my sleep....
He has something for me to do.

Father, you have told us to make our requests known unto you,
You want us to ask...
I ask of you three things...
over and over I ask until I can ask no more;
first, forgive me of all my transgressions...my sins
And, give me a perfect knowledge of your will for my life.....
Finally, give me the strength and power to live that will.

There is too many more notes to publish them all today. So another time for the remainder. But I do want to print a daily prayer from my Bible. Won't you pray with me...?

Father, thank you for this night of rest.
Give me this day the strengths I'll need...physically, mentally, emotionally and above all, spiritual strength that I might overcome temptations and bring honor to your name by being obedient to your will.
Father, I ask you to give me the knowledge of your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to lead a life worthy of You, fully pleasing to you, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in Godly knowledge. Strengthen me with all power, for all endurance and patience with joy. Thank you, Father, for accepting me into your family, making me your adopted son and delivering me from the kingdom of darkness into Your kingdom of light, into the kingdom of Jesus that I may be redeemed, forgiven of all my sins to live with You forever and ever.
Make me to know Your ways, Lord, teach me thy paths, lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation and for You I wait all the day long.
Forgive me my unbelief. Help me to be Holy. Bless all who believe, redeem all who do not believe.
