Dear God, they say you are jealous. Are you? I thought you had everything!

Our Heavenly Father, creator of all things! The great I AM! The Alpha and the Omega! The one and only true God! All powerful...all knowing...all seeing.....yet you love each and everyone of us as though there were only one of us! Father, Abba!..we bow down before you and sing praises to your name! In your son's name, we pray! Amen!

GOD

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other Gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God,....(Ex 20:2-5)

We ask the question again, Is God a jealous God? Yes! By His word God is a jealous God, Exodus 20:2-5. But not as humans understand jealousy, the want and desire of what someone else is or has. God's jealousy is Godly! God is so perfect that He can not be in the presence of sin. Likewise God is so majestic, so far above all of His creation that He can not be worshiped second to anyone or anything. The child said to God, I thought you had everything and He does have everything, He made everything therefore everything is His.
